White-Label Branding
PurpletGo lets you replace every visible reference to "PurpletGo" with your own company identity. Departing employees, managers, and HR teams will see your logo, your company name, and receive emails from your domain - making the offboarding experience feel like a native part of your internal tooling.
Branding settings are available at Settings → Branding and apply organisation-wide. Sub-organisations can each carry their own branding profile independently; see Org Hierarchy for details.
White-label branding is an Enterprise-plan feature. On lower plans the branding API returns a 403 and the settings page won't save changes.
Logo and Company Name
Upload your company logo as a PNG or JPG, up to 2 MB (recommended around 200 × 60 px). SVG isn't accepted - SVGs can carry embedded scripts, so PurpletGo blocks them as an upload-security precaution. The logo appears in:
- The navigation sidebar of the main app
- Outbound emails sent by PurpletGo on your behalf
- The Self-Service Portal seen by departing employees
Set the Company Name to control how your organisation is labelled in the interface and in the greeting line of automated emails. Clear the field and save to go back to your organisation's name.
Uploading a new logo replaces the old one immediately, and PurpletGo can suggest brand colors by extracting the dominant colors from your logo image - handy for filling in Primary and Accent below without picking hex values by hand.
Custom Email Sender
By default, PurpletGo sends notifications from a shared @mail.purpletgo.com address. Configuring a custom sender means your employees receive offboarding emails from an address like hr@yourdomain.com.
Two fields control the sender identity:

Verifying your domain
PurpletGo keeps sending from its own address until you prove you own the sender domain. Verification is a DNS TXT record carrying a value unique to your organisation - an SPF record on its own is not enough, since it says nothing about who owns the domain.
Add the verification TXT record
After saving your From Address, the Branding page shows a TXT record like purpletgo-verification=3f9c.... Add it to the DNS of the sender domain itself (host @, for example acmecorp.com for hr@acmecorp.com).
Include PurpletGo in your SPF record (recommended)
So your mail isn't marked as spam, the domain's SPF record should include PurpletGo: v=spf1 include:purpletgo.com ~all. If the domain already has an SPF record, add include:purpletgo.com to it instead of publishing a second one. This isn't needed to verify, but the Branding page reports whether it's in place.
Wait for propagation
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though it's usually much faster.
Verify in PurpletGo
Click Verify Domain. PurpletGo does a live DNS lookup on your domain and looks for your verification record. The badge next to your sender address flips from Unverified to Verified, and emails start coming from your address.
Changing the From Address to a different domain resets verification, since the proof is tied to the domain. Changing only the part before the @ (from hr@ to people@, say) keeps it verified. Sender addresses verified before the TXT check was introduced (September 2026) went back to Unverified and need the TXT record to be verified again.
Legal Footer
The legal footer appears at the bottom of every outbound email PurpletGo sends on your behalf. It's plain text - up to 500 characters, HTML-escaped when it's rendered into the email so nothing in it can break the layout or inject markup. Use it for things like your registered company address or a required legal disclosure.
Privacy Policy URL
Enter your organisation's privacy policy URL (must be a valid https:// link). When set, it's added to the footer of every outbound email as a "Privacy Policy" link, alongside your legal footer text.
Custom Portal Domain
You can serve the Self-Service Portal from your own domain instead of purpletgo.com - for example offboarding.acme.com. Add a CNAME record pointing your chosen domain at app.purpletgo.com, then click Verify CNAME on the Branding page. PurpletGo does a live DNS lookup and marks the domain verified once the CNAME resolves correctly. Once verified, portal links sent to departing employees use this domain instead of the default one.
Saving the Branding page leaves a verified domain verified - only changing it to a different domain needs a new check. To stop using a custom domain, clear the field and save.
Applying Branding Changes
Changes take effect immediately for new sessions and outbound emails triggered after saving. Already-open browser sessions may need a hard refresh to see the updated logo and company name. Previously sent emails are not retroactively altered.
